Here at Kiltorcan we operate with a fleet of Sodi GT3 karts, which are powered by a 270cc, 9hp Honda engine. Our karts are also fitted with a remote control system which allows the race director to slow down one or all karts in the event of an accident or dangerous driving. The engine is also fully covered and will not result in anyone getting burnt accidently. The seating position can be adjusted providing extra comfort for everyone.

Uniquely our karts are run on Liquid Petroleum Gas (L.P.G). We chose to use LPG to help improve our standard of safety towards our customers. We can assure our customers that they do not get destroyed in the refuelling of our karts and they will not go home with the smell of fumes off their clothing. In the event of a collision between two karts, fuel leakage which can lead to subsequent fire is impossible, and there will be no fuel spillages.

We must also state that gas powered karts are equally as fast as those that are run on petrol regardless of what some people may say.

 

We can cater for younger drivers from 10years and up. We operate junior sessions at different time periods. It is therefore advisable to phone ahead prior to your visit to check availability and to avoid disappointment. (087-2464872).

 

Maintenance is a major factor in the operation of our karts. We take great pride in our karts and they are constantly inspected on a weekly basis and any minor problems are dealt with promptly to avoid any major damages.

 

We attempt to make your visit with us as pleasant as possible. We can not assure that you will have an incident free session but we can agree that any time lost, due to mechanical failure, will be compensated by a replacement kart.

 

However, we must state that these karts ARE NOT bumpers. Any damage that is caused by careless or reckless driving may have to be paid for by the offender(s) and can result in them being eliminated from the race. Any person who is eliminated for careless driving will not be entitled to a refund.
