SAFETY

All forms of motor racing can be dangerous.

Karting is one of the safest forms of motor sport but, unless drivers adhere to the safety regulations, accidents can occur.

Safety at Kiltorcan is taken very seriously.

Before being allowed on the circuit, all drivers receive a full briefing on karting protocol, flag signals and driving techniques.  All drivers MUST wear a properly fitting crash helmet and can avail of a range of other protective clothing.

We have trained Marshals on duty during every event and first aid assistance is always on hand.

A careful watch is kept on proceedings in order to prevent bad behavior.  To this end, our karts are fitted with remote control systems which allow track staff to slow down or stop karts in the event of an emergency or dangerous driving.

Karting is a very exciting sport and it should also be fun.  If approached responsibly, it can be immensely enjoyable.  We have no wish to spoil anybody's enjoyment but, as a matter of policy, we will not allow anyone else to spoil it either.

For general safety reasons we maintain a clear path for the entry and exit of emergency vehicles.

Please keep this in mind when parking at Kiltorcan and do not obstruct doors or gates.
